A beautiful, rustic yet glamorous French, late 19th century washstand in the Belle Epoque style. Marble top and mirror, ceramic basin and pine base. This washstand is very complete - original ceramic washbasin, original mirror and even the little marble stopper that covers the opening where the original water tank sat. The washstand could easily be plumbed for a modern bathroom with the original opening for the tap ready to use. Unfortunately there are some historical cracks and timeworn repairs in the marble on the bench top - please see photographs. An evocative French washstand for a special bathroom.
