Grand French Enfilade in the Empire Style
This superbly stylish French enfilade dates from circa 1940. The design is classical Empire with neo classical columns crowned with cast brass capitals and Empire styled hardware. The marble is spectacular and original - a beautiful deep mottled green. The veneer work is expertly applied and is French merisier or cherrywood. A very impressive feature piece for a formal setting. This enfilade would sit well in a raw contemporary space , mingle happily with the lines of modernism and compliment a large artwork or mirror.
