Louis 16 Style Commode

A gorgeous, warmly patinated, French, 19th century, Louis 16 style commode. This lovely commode is in superb original condition including the original marble. The style is transitional Louis 16 - directoire with a directoire simplicity of line and pared back detail including the typical directoire shield lockplates. The overall proportions, legs, finish and styling are all pure Louis 16. Walnut and mahogany veneer. The commode was fabricated in the 19th century emulating earlier styles - circa 1860.
