Louis Philippe Period Painted Bergère

This charming Provençale bergère dates from the Louis Philippe period , circa 1850. The Bergère retains it's original painted finish in soft tonal greens and has a warm patina where the paint has slowly worn through to the wood on the arms over the years . The armchair is upholstered in a fabric reminiscent of the traditional Provençale ' Indiennes ' patterns.
