A completely charming French late 19th century, Napoleon III period slipper chair. The slipper chair was originally used in the 18th century in the bedroom of the lady of the house and used for maids to assist with dressing including putting on slippers or simply as extra seating. This beautiful chair is in absolutely original condition - ebonised finish and hand applied gilt detailing. A special and decorative bedroom or bathroom chair.
